There is no stress like a-mom-in-pandemic-stress.
In this thing together.
As busy career women and mothers, we needed an (effective) solution to optimize our every day. We wanted to sleep better, be more productive, balance our moods, and show up as the best versions of ourselves.
When covid hit, I had just had my baby and Juna's business started taking off! With the increase in stress and anxiety that the world was facing, more and more women were turning to Juna for relief and my co-founder and I totally got it! Both our husbands were let go from their jobs, we were running a startup, she was home-schooling her two daughters, and I had a newborn... and therefore zero sleep. Life was hectic, life was stressful, and life was... life.
We spoke daily with friends, family, and customers about how we were feeling and dealing with these stressful times. We found that more than ever, us women really needed a little support so we could show up as best we could, everyday.
Whether you are a new mom or already have a pile of kids, you know that the stress can be overwhelming. Screaming children, with no time for yourself, can be both physically and mentally exhausting.
In this article, we will share real mom's stories on how CBD can naturally and effectively help improve mood, sleep, and stress. Then we will dive into the science behind how this plant can give you the Me-time benefits while you are in the midst of chaos.
The benefits of using CBD daily:
Less stress, restorative sleep, lower inflammatory response, pain relief and balanced hormones and the list goes on. CBD builds up in our cells over time and works best with cumulative use so think of it like a multivitamin. Whatever you choose to take CBD for know that it's helping your body and mind work at an optimized level so you can show up as the best version of yourself.

Two Teens > Stress
“I have been making Juna Nightcap a part of my night time routine for the last 4 months. After years and many different strategies I have finally found the magic potion to not only keep me asleep but help me wake up feeling rested.
As a single working mom, I cannot stress the value that sleep has in my life. When we're rested I am better able to conquer work, two teenagers (in the middle of a pandemic!) and so much more. Thank you Juna for making me a better parent and person.” -Kristen F.
One Well-Rested Mama
“This (Juna Nightcap) Turned Me From An Insomniac To A Well-Rested Mama! I’ve suffered from insomnia for years and tried ALL the products. This is by far the most effective long-term. Within 30 minutes I can feel my stress ease up and my eyes start to get heavy... and then I’m out! It's making a huge difference in my mood as I navigate parenting as a single mom." - Marcella P.
Juggling Single Mama
"I've been really enjoying Juna so far. I'm juggling being a single mom, working full time, and studying for professional exams so I need high quality rest, at the right times, to make it all work. I've tried other CBD products that didn't work as cleanly as Juna has.” - Julie A. N.
Bye Moody Mama
“I don't know if it was from my hormones being out of wack or what but I was M-O-O-D-Y. I didn't want to admit it but deep down I knew it. I was snapping at my husband and was short with co-workers. I didn't feel like myself and so my girlfriend, like the sweet savior she is, recommended Juna. I've been using Juna every single morning for 4 months now and it has helped bring back the old me. I feel more at ease and patient than ever before and feel good that it's all natural. " - Amira V.
3 things to check before you buy CBD:
We suggest beginning with a small daily dose of an organic full-spectrum tincture like Juna's Balance drops. Whatever CBD brand you choose, make sure it's from a reputable and transparent company because not all CBD is created equal. You want to make sure to buy organic (USDA Organic is best), choose a full-spectrum CBD, and make sure that has been tested by a 3rd party. Links to all Juna's 3rd party lab results can be found on the product pages and box QR codes.
CBD for Sleep
Us moms are pretty tired from trying to keep up with life and our kids! So many moms, including us, are using Nightcap to help ease our racing thoughts, mom-stress, and get deeper sleep so we can wake up feeling more reseted. Nightcap helps "optimize your sleep cycles with the power of Full-Spectrum CBD, CBN, Passionflower, Mint, and Chamomile. Plus, help prolong Stage 3 sleep when your body, skin, and brain repair themselves."
Managing Stress & Mood
Even if you are not suffering from postpartum, CBD is a wonderful tool for helping manage your stress and mood levels. With the stress of Mom Life, you may ignore important warning signals from your mind and body due to the chaos around you.
Be sure to spend some time assessing how you feel as you are going about your daily duties. Stress can build up and manifest in other ways that we are not aware of. We may feel the tension in our body, or begin to snap at our loved ones.
Juna's daily Balance drops can help with brain fog and when you lack energy and focus due to the sparse amounts of sleep. The naturally-occurring cannabinoid work without impairing your judgement so you will still be present and effective in your Mommy role.
Carrying your favorite CBD oil with you as you go back to work can be a great way to help you ease stress and enhance your mood. It will help the transition go much smoother, allowing you to put your best foot forward into your new life.

3 Tips for Moms Going Back to Work
Transitioning from childbirth back to work can be difficult. It has been weeks or months since you’ve been performing your duties, and you are now coming back as a different person with new priorities in your life. Managing this new work-life balance doesn’t have to be difficult. Here are some tips to make it a smooth transition:
-
Be upfront with your boss and co-workers: At some point, have a sit-down with your boss about what your priorities are and what can realistically be accomplished in the first few weeks. Where do you see yourself in the future of the company or organization? You’ll want to let your boss know that you are still committed to your job. Make sure you let him or her know where your limits lie in terms of overtime and what you will and won’t do. Additionally, manage the relationships with your co-workers with clear communication. Be direct about how and when you will be able to work. Communicate your schedule to them, making it predictable and thus reliable. This way they will know they can still depend on you.
-
Schedule time with your child: Going back to work, you may get slammed with work that has built up in your absence. This leaves you little time to spend quality time with your baby. Plan in advance the time you will spend with your child. Will you have time in the morning, evening, or weekends? Communicate your plan to your caregiver or co-parent. Managing this schedule is important to coincide with your work life. You don’t want to miss out on these precious first years of your baby’s life. If you don’t have set schedules in place, the lines of work and home life will blur and you may spend more time at work than you’d like. Be deliberate in where you spend your time.
- Reset expectations: Your work-life post-baby is bound to be much different than pre-baby. For instance, you may have been the hardest worker, spending hours of extra time in the office when your boss needed you. However, that is just not possible these days. It is ok to not hold the same standards for yourself as before. Your priorities are different now. Instead of being the hardest worker, think about being the most efficient, or the best mentor. Be realistic about the expectations you set for yourself. Go easy, and perhaps you will develop skills in a new way that you’d never imagined before.

Can CBD Help With Fertility?
If you aren’t a mom yet or are looking to have another baby, you may be looking for ways to increase fertility.
Endocannabinoid receptors have been found in sperm as well as in the female reproductive tract. It has been speculated that these receptors can increase the likelihood of a sperm fertilizing an egg. It could also boost the functioning of the ovaries and the maturing of follicles.
Since CBD has a direct connection to these receptors, it is believed that it may help boost fertility, and with few side effects. More research is needed to support this theory, and you should chat with your doctor about how it could potentially strengthen your uterus.
CBD & Breastfeeding
Believe it or not, Endocannabinoids are naturally found in breast milk. And based on what we know about CBD, a cannabinoid, we expect that some of it can be transferred to babies through breast milk.
Many believe cannabinoid therapeutics postpartum believe it is perfectly safe, but others believe it can be dangerous. All medicine, whether natural or pharmaceutical can have a variety of benefits and risks.
It may be a good idea to pause CBD consumption when breastfeeding. Currently, there has been very little research on the effects of CBD and the developing fetus, pregnant mother, or breastfed baby.
CBD and cannabis products are still unregulated and quality control has become an issue. For this reason, it is not a good idea to trust products that have not been lab-tested.
Unregulated CBD products can contain harmful contaminants that could pose a risk if passed through breast milk to a baby. Some contaminants could be things like pesticides, heavy metals, bacteria, or fungus. We recommend looking for a “Third Party Tested” logo when deciding what products to buy.
But if you are not nursing, CBD is is great to try if you are experiencing chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and insomnia that comes with a new baby.
More Rewarding with CBD
Being a mom can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life. Even going through the stress, anxiety, depression, difficult transitions, and giving up your Me-time can be worth it. But with CBD, the stress melts away, making it all the more rewarding.
