Wellness with @howhanseesit
Hi, I’m Hannah, a blogger and podcaster based in Southern California. I share my world through @howhanseesit on Instagram and TikTok, and on my podcast HOW I SEE IT, available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
I created HOW HAN SEES IT as a space to share my life unapologetically through fashion, beauty, and lifestyle content with the goal of inspiring my community to live authentically and confidently.
From that vision, HOW I SEE IT the podcast was born. Each episode dives deeper, featuring personal stories and inspiring conversations with guests from diverse industries. We cover topics such as entrepreneurship, mental health, beauty, wellness, and more, with the aim of sparking connection, growth, and confidence in my listeners.
Q: What inspired you to launch your podcast? Who has been your favorite guest to date?
A: I launched my podcast in honor of my own mental health journey. Along with therapy and taking care of my body, listening to people’s stories was the greatest reminder that I wasn’t alone in my mental health and entrepreneurial journey. I created my blog/instagram with the mission to inspire people to be unapologetically them, and the mission was the same for the podcast. I wanted to inspire people to pursue healing unapologetically in the hopes that we can all live to our fullest potential. I also think listening to the ups and downs of others’ experiences can be the best motivation to continue on, whether it be in working through our trauma, rewriting negative self talk, pursuing physical health, or maneuvering the turbulence of starting + running a company.
I have had so many guests who have inspired me so much. Mental health professionals, successful founders, dating experts, authors, thought leaders, and wellness enthusiasts. Eva of Maude, Danielle of Clearstem, Amber Lyon of Modern Mind, and now Taylor and Jewel of Juna are just a few!
Q: If you could give one piece of wellness advice to women looking to improve their health, what would it be?
A: Get uncomfortable for the sake of real comfortability. Whether that’s looking in the mirror and calling yourself out on your sh*t, working through childhood trauma, going to the pilates class… we convince ourselves that stuckness is comfortable, when really we’re incredibly uncomfortable.
Q: A morning (or nightly) ritual you swear by?
A: Affirmations in the morning, magnesium spray on my chest and feet at night.
Q: What's your favorite Juna product and how do you incorporate it into your everyday routine?
A: I have celiac, and as a result I get bloated fairly easily, so the Detox Drops and the Digestive Enzyme are my ride or dies. I use the drops in the morning or mid day at my desk, and I take the digestive enzymes after eating.
Q: Any health concerns that you are currently trying to support?
A: I am trying to force myself to get more sleep, so taking the Nightcap Sleep Gummies has helped alot with that.
I also am trying to navigate educating myself on my cycle. I just got off birth control a year ago, after being on the pill for a decade, and it’s been difficult getting used to the symptoms that I haven’t had since I was a teenager (AKA the intense mood/PMS week where I question my entire life and identity 1x a month)
Q: What’s a wellness trend or practice you’ve tried recently that you love?
A: I did a Buccal massage recently, which essentially is an intense lymphatic massage on your face and I am obsessed. I am hyperfixated on contouring my face, jaw line so I am fully indulged in the ice roll, gua sha, nuface micro current, and now buccal massage.
Q: What’s your go-to meal or snack when you need something healthy and quick?
A: Eggs + chicken sausage at home, the tuna spring rolls at Jan’s Health Bar have been my recent hyperfixation, or dates with peanut butter when I want a sweet treat.
Q: What is a health goal you are currently striving for?
A: I want to get back to the routines that I was doing at my HEALTHIEST. I work out 5 days a week, but I used to read a book every week, go on a sunset walk everyday, start my morning EVERY morning with affirmations, and I have been a bit relaxed on these non negotiables. Work is important, but I am trying to work on balancing my work and needs as a human so I can show up to work as the best version of myself. That has always been difficult for me.Q: What’s your go-to meal or snack when you need something healthy and quick?
Q: Current Favorite Book/Podcast/Playlist/Apps?
A: One of my favorite books is Maybe You Should Talk to Someone by Lori Gottlieb. Another one I just read and loved recently was The Tell by Amy Griffin.
My favorite playlist is Fleetwood Mac Radio on Spotify
My favorite app is The Real Real app
